Yes! All guests are required to purchase a tidal water fishing license. A parent or guardian may obtain a license for guests under the age of 16. Please click here to obtain your tidal water fishing license.

The majority of our guests’ fish goes through a local processor. Your guide will clean your catch before sending it to Ukee Seafood and Fishpak. There, your fish will be filleted, portioned to your specifications, vacuum-packed, and frozen. It will be stored until you’re ready to pick it up. They can also provide airline-approved flight packs for air travelers, or you can bring a cooler if driving. Some guests choose to have their fish smoked and shipped to their home. Alternatively, you can take your catch head-on and gut-on ice to process or smoke on your own terms.
We recommend comfortable clothing, sturdy footwear, a camera, and binoculars for the best experience.
Yes, tours may be adjusted or rescheduled based on weather conditions to ensure safety and the best experience for our guests.
We recommend dressing for the weather. Depending on the time of year, your clothing needs may vary. It’s always a good idea to pack layers—better to have them and not need them than wish you’d brought that sweater once you’re out there! Our captain is happy to provide recommendations during booking based on the season.
Most pharmacies offer seasickness remedies. We recommend consulting your pharmacist before your trip. Your guide can often arrange a calm-water fishing option if there’s offshore swell.
Absolutely! We have a cooler specifically for our guests and encourage you to bring snacks and drinks.
No, we provide all the gear and bait. We use Islander TR3 and MR3 single-action reels for trolling, as well as Accurate and Shimano two-speed reels paired with Shimano Trevala rods for Halibut and Tuna.
We recommend bringing a cooler for your catch if driving back, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a light jacket, pants, a camera, and closed-toe shoes.
There’s a large parking lot on Hemlock Rd at the top of the dock. Parking is free, so feel free to find a spot.
Look for the Floathouse Restaurant! We are located in the Small Craft Harbour. The main access point is the ramp to the left of the restaurant ramp. You’ll find us about 100 yards down the main dock on your right.
Our boats are equipped with all required Transport Canada safety gear. As our Northwest vessel operates year-round and is outfitted for blue-water conditions, we carry a safety kit that exceeds standards. This includes a Transport Canada-certified liferaft with a hydrostatic release, a registered MMSI, a McMurdo EPIRB, and all basic Transport Canada-mandated safety equipment.

We are happy to prepare a dinner fish for your crew to enjoy at the end of the day. However, the majority of our guests’ fish is processed locally. Your guide will clean your catch before sending it to Ukee Seafood and Fishpak. They will fillet, portion to your specifications, vacuum pack, and freeze your catch. It will be stored until you’re ready to pick it up. They can also provide airline-approved flight packs for guests traveling by air, or you’re welcome to bring a cooler if driving. Some guests choose to have their fish smoked and shipped to their home, while others prefer to take their catch head-on and gut-on ice to process or smoke on their own terms.
Local providers custom cut and vacuum pack your fish with an overnight turnaround. Same-day processing can be arranged, but it will not be frozen for same-day pickup. This is generally the best option for processing, but feel free to discuss your specific needs with Scott.
